DE CODER'S PROJECT: 'STUDY HARD, PLAY HARD'
(Starts on 4 Jan 2010 - 1st Day of School)
Target Participants:
'STUDY HARD, PLAY HARD' is applicable to ALL Full-Time Students in our Local education scene. This does not include students from private institutions (e.g. MDIS, Informatics, British Council, International Schools, Overseas Universities etc).
Project Details:
'STUDY HARD, PLAY HARD' is available on Mon to Thurs, with the exception of Eve & Day of Public Holidays. All students are welcomed to study and do revisions at De Coder's Cafe from 2pm to 4pm: Study Time with their friends. Thereafter, they are entitled to relax and play games from 4pm to 6pm: Games Time. It is absolutely FREE! No gimmicks or hidden charges! Students are allowed to join anytime from 2pm to 4pm but not later than 4pm . Do come early to avoid disappointment as it is based on First-Come-First-Serve basis and NO reservations are allowed for this project. Please note that you will NOT be allowed to come just for the games only for this project, of course unless you are paying for one of our gaming packages :)
Project Objectives:
'STUDY HARD, PLAY HARD' aims to provide all students with a balanced lifestyle between learning and leisure. By studying and playing together with their peers, we also aim to enhance the social elements of cooperative learning and effective communication among the students.
Simple Rules & Regulations:
'STUDY HARD, PLAY HARD' is a pilot project of De Coder's Cafe with distinct objectives from what an usual board games cafe would do. We place great emphasis on the mental and social welfare of our students as we believe they will be the leaders of our future. We hope this project will be of significant success and many students can benefit from it so that we can continue with this project ..
New Menu - Exercise your Taste Buds!
With effect from 12 Dec 09, we will be offering Beef Lasagne, Tortilla Chicken Wraps, Cajun Roasted Chicken, Tom Yam Soup Noodle, Shrimp Dumplings, Grass Jelly Desserts, Fizzy Fruity Soda and many more new menu items!! But don't be greedy and eat them all! Leave some for others :) Bon Appetite :)
Free complimentary tidbits baskets have been given and will continue to be given to every groups of 4 players or more. Players must opt for any one of our Games Packages (including Happy Hour and Theme Nights). Enjoy munching! :-p
Feedback indicated to us that due to GCE exams and university exams preparation, many members cannot find time to renew their membership card, we have thus extended the deadline for renewal to 30 Nov 09. There is a special promotional rate for renewal at $5/card. After this period, renewal will no longer be available for expired cards. You have to renew before the expiry date (which is one year from date of issue) at prevailing rates. So hurry down to get yours renewed at a discounted rate. Rental of Board Games:
De Coder's Cafe will start providing rental services on board games to customers with effect from 1 Nov 2009. Rental will be $10 per game for 2 days of loan. Additional day(s) will be charged at $5/day. Members will get 10% to 20% discount depending on their membership ranks. Do understand that due to accountability of numerous and varied components, only selected games are available. You may wish to check with our staff before making a trip down.
Please be informed that Balmoral outlet will cease operation with effect from 12 Oct 2009. Do continue to support us and visit our Clementi outlet.
